Pupil Premium
The pupil premium is additional funding given to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.
Funding for Pupil Premium
Schools receive the following funding for each child registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years:
- £342 for Early Years pupils
- £1,455 for primary-aged pupils
Schools also receive £2,530 for each looked-after pupil who:
- has been looked after for 1 day or more
- was adopted from care on or after 30 December 2005, or left care under:
- a special guardianship order
- a residence order
And £335 for pupils in year groups reception to year 11 recorded as Ever 6 service child or in receipt of a child pension from the Ministry of Defence
